diving again in Australia

Back on the farm to make money but everyone needs a brake.

Wieder zurueck auf der Farm, aber jeder braucht mal ne Pause.I have been diving again in Exmouth. It was absolutely awesome. First day we couldn't go cuz of the weather, too windy which was a bit anoying cuz we only had the car for 3 days. But we could sort it out on the phone, got it for another day and one more day off as well. On the 2nd day we went on a whale shark snorkel tour. As soon as they spot a shark from the air they contact the boat. We jumped in the water in front of the shark. It is an incredible feeling to see that beautiful giant animal (althought ours was "only" 3m) smimming right towards you.

Ich war in Exmouth tauchen. Es wahr mal wieder so toll. Am ersten Tag konnten wir leider nicht tauchen wegen dem Wetter, zu windig. Am 2. Tag sind wir dann auf Whale shark Tour gegangen. Sobald die Schwimmrichtung des Haies bestimmt worden ist (aus der Luft) sind wir mit dem Boot dort hin und vor dem Hai ins Wasser gesprungen mit Flossen, Taucherbrille und schnorchel. Ein Wahnsinnsgefuehl wenn dieses wunderschoene Tier wir ein kleiner LKW (unserer war "nur" 3m) direkt auf dich zugeschwommen kommt.

We had to swimm out of his way and could follow him on the sides at least as long as we had power.

Wir mussten dann zur Seite ausweichen und konnten neben ihm herschwimmen, zumindest so lange bis wir nicht mehr konnten.

One of my dreams came true there.

Das ganze haben wir etwa 5 Mal gemacht. Ein Traum ist damit schonmal in Erfuellung gegangen.

On the 3rd day we went diving. I've seen my first reefshark. Scary in the open water. Apart from that we've seen turtles, seesnakes, oktopusses mating (ups), lots of beautiful corals and heaps of fish in all forms and colors. On the 4th day we had two dives at the Navy pier, which is still used to communicate with submarines.

Am 3. Tag waren wir tauchen. Meinen ersten Riffhai hab ich hier gesehen. Echt gruselig so im offenen Meer. Ausserdem noch Schildkroeten, Seeschlangen, Tintenfische bei der Paarung (ups), viele schoene Korallen und sehr viele Fische in allen Farben.Am 4. Tag hatten wir 2 Tauchgaenge am Navy-Pier, welcher noch immer zur Kommunikation mit U-Booten benutzt wird.

Under the jetty there are all these poles and it is like diving in a labyrinth. Good practice for byioncy (all that is hard to describe and spell in english, but I hope you understand) if you dont have much room. That was the first time diving without an instructor, just with my buddy and we could decide on our own where to go, controll our air, safety stop... But what is much more interesting: We've seen an at least 2.5m nurse shark (they do look so angry but they are harmless)

Unter dem Steg sind viele Querbalken und es ist wie im Labyrinth dort zu tauchen. Auch eine gute Uebung fuer Auf-und Abtrieb wenn man nicht viel Platz hat. Dort war ich das erste Mal ohne Leitung zusammen mit meinem Tauchpartner (natuerlich Stevey) unter Wasser und haben uns selbst ausgesucht wo wir langschwimmen und kontrolliert wieviel Luft wir noch haben und den Sicherheitsstop auch nicht vergessen. Aber was ja viel interessanter ist: Einen mindestens 2,5m langen Ammenhai (die sehen echt boese schoen aus sind aber harmlos)

nur 1 m entfernt. Und er war nicht der einzige Hai dort. Mindestens 4 Riffhaie die dort ne Pause eingelegt haben und einen 1m Teppichhai (sehr schwer zu erkennen auf dem Grund). Ausserdem noch einige riesige potato cods (ich glaube Dorsch???), die wenn sie ihr Maul oeffnen aussehen als koennten sie dich versehentlich verschlucken.

Ich bin auf jeden Fall absolut begeistert und hoffe bald meinen Dive-Master zu machen.

Back in Kalbarri I tried myself in football (or soccer to say it the Aussi way). A funny show if you only play it with women. No rules, pushing, kicking, runnung over each other....Not much time though for things like that cuz I'm working in a restaurant in the evenings. Lots of work here to safe for more Asia.

Wieder zurueck in Kalbarri hab ich mich jetzt auch mal im Fussball versucht. Ein lustiges Schauspiel mit nem reinen Frauenteam. Regeln gab es da kaum. Anrempeln, wegstossen und ueber den Haufen rennen (dabei noch mit Kampfschrei) waren dabei. Leider hab ich nicht viel Zeit dafuer weil ich Abends noch im Restaurant arbeite aber das Geld brauch ich ja fuer Asien.
